Parroccini-Blog 1 and 2

Well. Apparently my first blog post did not go up. Sooo this one is going to be kind of long. I have morphed my focus a little bit. I still want to focus on the idea of Captured Moments, but I want to lose the specific info on "blurred memories". I like the idea of explaining memory using the flow canvases. Memory ebbs and flows we remember some things more than others. The top canvases will still have the "photograph" idea of the foreground in focus and the background blurred. The photo canvases will be raised above the flow canvases using dowel rods or toothpicks depending on the size. These canvases will have burned edges and some will even have holes burned throughout the canvas. This will provide the viewer the ability to see the flow canvases underneath.
This is an image that helps depict my plan.

I have completed two poured paintings and I am very excited to keep pouring. These paintings are incredibly freeing and exciting to watch how they have a mind of their own. It truly is enjoyable to watch paint dry for these paintings :D

I have been waiting for some of my supplies to come in and after meeting with Rose the final Walmart supplies have been ordered.

I plan to spend more time on the oil photograph paintings now. I want some going at the gallery and some going on in my room so I have the ability to work whenever since getting to the gallery can be tricky. I am hella excited for this. The blurred backgrounds are so freeing to do! Im going to start the Spain painting either tonight or tomorrow. It is really interesting doing very opposite things for the same project. The photograph paintings are controlled and the pouring one are controlled literally with color thats it.

Here is a demonstration of the pouring! I am considering using different material to pour like lotion, glue, glue with sand?, maybe even adding something like nail polish on a finished image to see how it reacts. If you have any other suggestions let me know!!

On the last image, laying on the canvas are peeled pieces left on the garbage bag. Im thinking about using them but idk how yet...
I also plan to pour onto crumpled garbage bad and lay the canvas on top to dry to see how that would make texture.
Thats all folks! Lets hope this one posts.... Ima be real irritated if not.
