The last two weeks I have worked on the first layers of two new pieces, added a second layer to one piece and worked on the second layer of my first of the three self portraits I have planned. At this time I am keeping the backgrounds of the non-self portraits dark and plain in order to focus on the subject in each painting. I plan to add imagery and details specific to each individual portrayed in these portraits.
