Lexie Miller - Post 1

I've interviewed several individuals (mainly artists) from Williamsport and nearby areas. First Friday gave me the opportunity to connect with most of them and learn more about their craft. The owner of Dirty Dogs, Worth Rawson, let me walk through his studio, and we talked for a while about his business and why he settled in Williamsport. He told me about the studio resident he has living in the apartment above, who I want to get in contact with as well.

Worth is also getting me in contact with other people in the area to write their stories. He taught me of a firing technique using a soda kiln. It's a three day firing process where wood needs to be constantly added as well as soda. The chemical reaction gives the glaze a warped and surreal finish to it. Soda kilns cannot be bought but rather made with bricks.

I also met a woman named, Andrea, who makes a living off of her artwork. Her and her roommate live on 4th St. above the law offices.

I've done some research on parallax options and how to have a video playing in the background while the user scrolls through text.
