A little disappointed that I didn't get the trees in for the midterm crit, but I have to keep reminding myself that I made 5 gallons of ink and have other responsibilities. I am getting into a rhythm and should be progressing much more quickly. My new goal is to have the under-layer and leaves done Monday nights and trees done Wednesday nights. A 3x5 foot section each week will allow me to get the walnut ink step (1 of 3 major parts) finished in about 5 1/2 more weeks. My biggest issue is coordinating drying time and getting other stuff finished then going back to the painting on nights that I have a decent amount of time to do schoolwork in general.Then I just have the acrylic bags and the frame. I am liking the effect that is created by the finished section being curved in the corner. I am thinking that it will be well worth my time to go out of my comfort zone with measurements (I can do everything else needed just fine except measuring correctly) and wood working to build a circular frame.
