Post Number Something - Hayden

Hello,
So I'd like to say my project is coming along fairly well.  In the beginning of the semester I made pillows with family portraits on them.  My original idea was to have them displayed on a couch, just because I have a couch in my space, but after talking to Anthony I now have a better idea.  I'm going to mix both real and recreating/fake family portraits together and create a bed set.  Pillows, decorative pillows, comforter, the works.  Because I have these family portraits displayed on the place where a family is made.  I'm either A.  Bringing my bed from my home or B. Going to find a bed for the space.

So I've been having my grandfather sending me pictures of our family and I decided on using this one.  I used Photoshop to make it huge and I added a layer of text on top to describe the scene.
Here it is without the extra borders.

So after using all of my print count, I got my fabric to tea stain, and I used about 20 - 30 tea bags in a bathtub filled with hot water.  The bathroom smelled pretty good after.

I thought process looked really interesting.
But it looked weird just sitting there.

Took about 42 hours to dry completely.

The transferring for the blanket will take a long time due to the process.

So on the other hand my paintings for the installation piece is almost complete.  I had to buy more paints, and honestly the process is so much easier now.  I'm almost done with the last painting piece, I just don't have that documented.  So I will be able to start building the pieces to prop it up.  I have not done that yet because I am still determining how far I want the pieces to be away from the wall.
This is just an up close look at my door handle.  I think it is nifty.
Here is the recreated dishwasher featuring my feet.
And another view of the pieces together.
I am planning out how I want to interact within the space, I know I want to create a video to have displayed in the corner of the kitchen, but I'm trying to figure out what I want exactly.
