I am still unsure about where this piece is going to go. Sticking to my idea of the eyes showing whose viewpoint is portrayed, this figure will not have distinct eyes. Now I am currently working on the background and making it a more interesting piece. I want the piece to show motion and a constant unbalance of action and emotion.
I am pleased with the progress of this piece. As I said in the critique, the central figure with eyes will be the only one to have eyes and he will be the most defined. I like how the rest of the figures show motion and don't seem to be paying attention to him. I will continue to go into this piece and add more detail with the colors and characteristics of the central figure and some value to some of the other figures.
I am happier with this face on the left person. Once the faces are more dry I plan on glazing over the top to blend the two faces closer to a common color; more purple on the green face and more green on the purple face. I am not sure now what I think of the pointing hand. I believe the pointing hand worked better when it was against a figure of a similar color so it didn't contradict as much. Another idea I had to emphasize that they are talking about their office mate, is to make the purple person look out of the corner of their eyes instead of at the person in green they are listening too. I am anxious to see how this turns out and I believe it will make for a stronger piece.
