Here are the painted hooves, they need to be shaved on the end in some places and another coat of paint needs to be added. The orange is the inner part of the leg where the yellow and green are the outer leg. I also have a fish bone spine I will be using for teeth and/or claws. They are very fragile and sharp I am quickly learning...ouchh!

My snake is coming alone it took me about 3 work sessions to finish it, it is completed now but missing its three heads and a tail.Which I am working on with my other materials collected. It is made out of wire coat hangers wrapped in aluminum foil to give it the coiled shape I wanted. Next I wrapped the shape with news paper to give it more of a thicker body to resemble the body of a lengthly boa constrictor. Once i used about a stack of news paper it was time to plaster! Plastering is something I have done for the first time this year and I enjoy working with it. I like the quick results and the pace you have to work. 

 
I am currently working on a marine insect with crab like features and bird heads to add onto of  the coiled boa. Next blog you will have a idea of what I'm working with.

Why didn't the chicken cross the road? BECAUSE I TOOK ITS BONES
!!! I have been living off of chicken wings the past weekend.  I boiled the bones to remove any extra meat and left them to dry out.

After My bones dried i drilled holes in them. Doing this will help me when i want to attach them to a piece I am making. I also painted the thicker bones to resemble a horses hooves or cow hooves.

Im sorry i haven't posted too much lately I'm trying to get all of my ducks in a row. After this long weekend coming up i will be on a regular pace with my work.

For the last two/three weeks I been working with nude models and having them painted with all different colors. I still want to incorporate the smoke within the images.I been adding smoke and changing the color of the smoke to the colors painted onto the models to blend better. I may get rid of all the smoke in the images, I want to have feed back because I feel the images are stronger with out the smoke. But i am still trying to get a to a good point with the smoke making the images stronger.

I've still been focusing mostly on the body and legs.  I'm not crazy about the front shoulders, but I think I'll keep working on the legs and stuff before I get a second opinion and start messing with them.  Overall, I'm still pretty happy about how it's going.

I started working on the lower legs.  Had to redo them so I lost an entire session worth of work to bad sculpting.  However, I'm reasonably happy with them now.  I was pretty thrilled, but when I was out visiting the babies I stared at Quince's legs and realized there are a lot more visible tendons than I put in.  Thankfully my basic shapes seem OK, so I should be able to just tweak and add later.  I wasn't planning on using pics of the babies as reference, because they're a bit too old, but I'm rethinking and I believe I will for finicky stuff like this before they get too fuzzy. 

Below is as it stands right now.  Still need to finish up upper forelegs and the insides of the legs as well as the joints and chest before I'll be able to get an opinion on the body and move on to the head and neck. 

Also, I now have a light so that's pretty cool.

Cathrin - Lightroom Editing

After my failed first fail of a photoshoot, I finally figured out what the heck I was doing. I started using clothing and decided it did not move the way I wanted it to. So I just wrapped some fabric around her and I loved the look.

I edited a few images with Lightroom to start and now I will be moving to photoshop. I am unsure how I want to incorporate the barbie/real life objects to show the triggers yet. I am guess that will come with my photoshop editing.

 Howdy ya'll,

In the past two weeks I have stretched two canvas'. I cut all of my pieces up for my ceramic piece both paper and in wood so I had a template to work with. I did some outlining of my Amelia painting. I made two more designs for my paintings! The designs are of Abrahams father and Amelia's dad. They are super complex compared to the painting I already started but I'm way too excited to start them. Today I started adding the textures to the two canvi and stuck my hands into some clay! The circle painting is just an under layer not a lyco themed painting!!!!

Elizabeth Hughes Post 3

I've finally finished the portrait prints that will be going in the jeleks! That's one element done, thank goodness. Now, I'm just waiting for them to dry completely and once all the jeleks are done (that seems like forever from now), I'll be lining them and sewing these into the lining. I'm also debating whether I should push this and get one completely finished or whether I should hold off and do all three in stages together. In any case, I probably won't have anything completely finished for mid-term critique, but work must get done.
